Universal released the first trailer for "Shrek 5" on Tuesday, more than a year ahead of its scheduled release on June 30, 2027. The trailer features the return of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz as the voices of Shrek, Donkey and Fiona, respectively. New cast members include Zendaya, "Saturday Night Live" comedian Marcello Hernandez and Skylar Gisondo as Shrek and Fiona's children Felicia, Fergus and Farkle. The trailer begins with a storybook recap of the original 2001 film, which is interrupted by Donkey suggesting a makeover. The characters travel through the land of Far, Far Away and encounter a giant, law enforcement, and a snowman parody of Olaf from "Frozen." The trailer ends with Shrek, Fiona, their children and Donkey in a jail cell, where Donkey sings "Baby Come Back" and "Roxanne" to Shrek's frustration.
