Pool app uses AI to organize and search phone screenshots

8 reported

A new app called Pool is launching to help users organize and rediscover screenshots on their phones. The app, developed by Spinoff Studio, uses AI to categorize screenshots into personalized “pools” and can track down original links for products, recipes, or other content. Co-founder Maxime Junique said the idea came from his and co-founder Piet Terheyden’s own difficulty finding saved screenshots. The first version was built in Lisbon about three years ago, but the founders shelved it to focus on B2B SaaS products. They revived Pool after AI technology matured, seeing screenshots as an untapped personal dataset. The app treats screenshots as memories, with some disappearing over time, and includes a search function and AI assistant. Pool is available as a free download on iOS.
