Kevin Warsh took the oath of office as chairman and a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System on Friday, May 22, 2026. The Federal Open Market Committee also unanimously selected Warsh as its chairman on the same day. President Donald J. Trump nominated Warsh on March 4, 2026, and the United States Senate confirmed him as a Board member on May 12 and as chairman on May 13.
