Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat Team Discusses Celebration of Common Decency

Anthony Norman, a young father from Nashville, Tennessee, unknowingly became the star of Prime Video’s “Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat” after taking a temp job he thought was with a family-owned hot sauce company called Rockin’ Grandma’s. The show places an unsuspecting person into a fabricated scenario with actors, this time pretending to be longtime coworkers. Norman joined the show’s creatives for a panel at Deadline Studio at Prime Experience, where they described their approach. Executive producer Nicholas Hatton called the show “a celebration of common decency,” noting that it highlights everyday kindness rather than division. Director Jake Szymanski revealed that Norman only saw a crew of about five people, while 85 others were hidden from him. The team said they sought a protagonist who would represent what they hope people would do in such situations.
