8 reported

The Guardian has released a new episode of its podcast series "Revisited: A Scottish tea mystery," titled "Green shoots." The episode, first broadcast in October 2025, is the first of a mini-series. Science correspondent Nicola Davis investigates the story of Tam O’Braun and his attempts to grow tea in Scotland. Davis recalls her first meeting with O’Braun while working on a feature about tea plantations in the UK. At the time, O’Braun was selling his award-winning Scottish-grown tea to some of the UK’s finest hotels. However, Davis notes that something did not add up about his story, and she was not the only person taking an interest in it.
