Sarajevo Film Festival Announces Seven Female Filmmaker Projects

The Sarajevo Film Festival has unveiled the seven projects selected for its Female Filmmakers Support Program this year. The announcement was made at Slano Film Days in Croatia on Saturday, with the UNIQA See Future Foundation confirming the recipients in cooperation with the festival and Slano Film Days. Launched in 2024, the program provides tailored financial and professional support through production and post-production to female directors from six Southeast European countries. The initiative aims to strengthen the presence and visibility of women in the regional film industry, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities. The 2026 selected projects include films from directors in Serbia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Croatia.
