Sacha Baron Cohen’s secret Ali G movie, titled “Ali G: Who Iz I?”, has been officially unveiled by the comedian and Amazon MGM Studios. The film will release in theaters Oct. 23. Cohen directed the movie, marking his feature directorial debut. He filmed the movie secretly, similar to his approach for his “Borat” comedy in 2006 and its 2020 sequel. Cohen originated the Ali G character for Channel 4’s “The 11 O’Clock Show” in 1998 and reprised the fictional Londoner in his own “Da Ali G Show” in the early 2000s. He previously starred as the character in the 2002 film “Ali G Indahouse,” directed by Mark Mylod.
