Romanian Films Win Top Prizes at Transilvania Industry Awards

Two Romanian projects, "The Fear's Artist" and "We Won't Get Old Together," shared the inaugural Transilvania HBO Award at the Transilvania International Film Festival's industry awards ceremony. The €30,000 prize was awarded to the projects from the Works in Progress program, which were among seven works screened for industry professionals in Cluj. A jury of three industry professionals made the decision. Other awards were given in the Transilvania Pitch Stop co-production forum, the Drama Room, and the newly launched Book to Screen program. The festival runs June 12 through June 21.

The CNC Moldova Award went to "Another Story About My Son," directed by Adrian Silișteanu.
The Connecting Cottbus CoCoLab: East-West Award went to Mara Crăcăleanu for "Sun Offspring."
The Luno Award went to "Decebal's Wedding," directed by Matei Lucaci-Grünberg.
In the Drama Room, the best series project award went to "Stay in School!" written by Rodica Dominteanu.
In the Book to Screen program, a one-year option agreement went to "Greu de pătruns în pădurea de mesteceni," and a €1,000 award went to "Tot ce i-am promis tatălui meu."
Two Alex. Leo Șerban Scholarships were given to Marius Papară and Ana-Maria Comănescu.
