RisingJoy Launches RJOY Microdrama Service on TikTok Minis
RisingJoy has launched RJOY, a direct-to-consumer microdrama streaming service initially available in the U.S. and Japan via TikTok Minis. The launch was announced by CEO and co-founder Cassandra Yang at the APOS conference in Bali. RJOY launches with 20 originals scheduled for the second half of 2026, including AI anime and AI human formats. The company’s choice of launch markets reflects commercial weight, as the U.S. accounts for close to half of all global microdrama in-app purchase revenue outside China, and Japan ranks second worldwide, according to Media Partners Asia data. RisingJoy has built a licensing and distribution network spanning more than 30 countries and 50-plus platforms, covering content in Chinese, English, Korean and AI-original formats.
