According to a report from Variety, the 20th season of "Married at First Sight" premiered on July 12 and is the first full season produced for Peacock. The series, produced by Kinetic Content, aired Seasons 5-18 on Lifetime before moving to NBC's streaming service in Season 19, but that deal was not completed until after the 19th season was filmed. Kinetic Content founder and CEO Chris Coelen stated that Season 19 was made for Lifetime and edited for Peacock, while Season 20 is a true, full-scope Peacock season. The move to a new platform prompted a full overhaul, including the replacement of all experts. Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Cal Roberson, and Dr. Pia Holec exited after Season 19, with Paul C. Brunson and Dr. Lisa Paz joining as the new experts. The season is set in Seattle and features older couples, as well as the first familiar face from reality TV: Nick Uhlenhuth, who previously appeared on Netflix's "The Circle" and "Perfect Match."
