Beatbot AquaSense X Pool Robot Uses Separate Self-Cleaning Station
According to a review published by Wired, Beatbot has released the AquaSense X pool cleaning robot, which is the first product to bring self-cleaning technology to market. However, the robot itself does not clean its own filter. Instead, a separate device called the AstroRinse station handles both filter cleanout and charging. The AstroRinse station weighs 42 pounds and requires assembly, including attaching a cleaning arm with hex nuts and connecting two hoses for water input and drainage. The review notes that the setup process involves 16 steps and took the reviewer about half an hour. The included input hose is 12 feet long, requiring proximity to a water source or an extension hose.
