According to a report from Variety, Mark Harmon will portray Leroy Jethro Gibbs in every episode of the upcoming third season of the prequel series “NCIS: Origins.” CBS stated that Harmon’s season-long arc will involve a present-day mystery tied to Gibbs’ 1990s Camp Pendleton days. Harmon currently narrates each episode of the series and serves as an executive producer. He previously appeared as Gibbs in a 2025 crossover episode and in the prequel’s 2024 pilot, but has not played the character regularly since leaving the original “NCIS” in 2021. The third season of “NCIS: Origins” is set to air Tuesdays this fall on CBS.
