A new international feature film titled “La Puta Vida” has commenced filming in Chile, according to a report from Variety. The film stars Colombian actor Claudio Cataño, known for his role in Netflix’s adaptation of “One Hundred Years of Solitude.” Directed by Chilean filmmaker Sebastián Araya Serrano, the project is a five-country co-production led by Colombia’s Red Collision Studios and Chile’s Afro Films. The cast also includes Germany’s Christine Neubauer and Chilean actress Tamara Acosta. The story is set in northern Chile in 2005 and follows a woman who discovers she was taken from her biological parents and raised inside the Colonia Dignidad cult. She embarks on a journey across the Atacama Desert with a con artist while being pursued by a hitman played by Cataño. The film is described as a blend of road movie, thriller, and emotional drama.
