According to a TechCrunch report, the book tracking platform StoryGraph has integrated with Rakuten’s Kobo eReader, allowing users to automatically sync their reading progress. The integration was announced in May and went live on Monday for all Kobo account-based content. This makes Kobo the first e-reader to integrate with StoryGraph, which competes with Amazon’s Goodreads community. The feature works with both e-books and audiobooks on any Kobo device or app. StoryGraph was founded in 2019 by Nadia Odunayo and Rob Frelow and now has over 5 million readers. Kobo has 12 million users in 190 countries. The integration does not require a subscription, though StoryGraph offers a $5 per month Plus subscription for additional features.
