Jacob Elordi Describes Being Locked in Coffin With Snake for ‘Euphoria’ Death Scene
Jacob Elordi revealed on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that his character Nate died in the final season of "Euphoria" by being buried alive and bitten by a rattlesnake. Elordi told guest host and fellow "Euphoria" star Colman Domingo that he was locked in a coffin for two days with prosthetics and a fake tongue. Series creator Sam Levinson placed snakes into the coffin, including a boa constrictor that was turned into a deadly rattlesnake in the show. Elordi described the snake as docile and sleepy, saying he had to nudge it to get it active for the scene. He also said Levinson "brought me back to torture me," noting six weeks of being beaten by a tall actor while his character was chased by a businessman and henchmen. Elordi credited "Euphoria" with changing his life and leading to film roles with directors like Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg. His next film, Scott's "The Dog Stars," premieres on Aug. 28.
