Terrence Howard, Guillermo Iván and Kate Bosworth are set to star in “Broken Ones,” a new legal thriller from writer-director Timothy Gagliardo, as reported exclusively by Variety. The film is inspired by the memoir of producer and co-writer Alejandro Zavala and draws from real-life experiences navigating the criminal justice system and the legal profession. Iván plays Joseph Santiago, a former felon who uncovers a corporate cover-up while investigating a car accident. Howard portrays Benjamin Drake, a revered attorney seeking justice against the uber-rich elite, while Bosworth appears as Kathleen Sloane, a corporate defense attorney whose morals are tested. A companion film, “Real Ones,” also based on Zavala’s memoir, is in development. The release date and further casting have not yet been announced.
