Chelsea has formally unveiled Geovany Quenda, a Portugal Under-21 international winger who reportedly agreed to join the club in March 2025 and signed a contract until 2034. Quenda, born in Guinea-Bissau, moved to Portugal at age seven and progressed through grassroots club Damaiense, Benfica’s academy, and Sporting’s academy before joining Chelsea. He is often compared stylistically to Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, and his former youth coach Fabio Roque told BBC Sport that Quenda’s explosiveness, ability to play inside, protect the ball, unpredictability, and creativity resemble Saka’s.
