BT CEO Allison Kirkby receives £5.6m pay package, more than doubling
BT Group’s chief executive, Allison Kirkby, received a total pay and bonus package of £5.58 million for the year ending March 2026, more than double the £2.48 million she received in her first year as CEO. The package includes a £1 million cash bonus and £3.25 million in share awards under a long-term incentive program. This is the largest remuneration awarded to a BT boss since Ian Livingston received £9.4 million in 2012-13. The company noted that BT’s share price has surged nearly 80% since Kirkby took the helm in February 2024, which influenced the scale of her bonus and share awards. Kirkby also received a 3% salary increase to £1.1 million for the current year, while the company agreed to a 4.1% increase for employees earning under £30,000 and a 3% rise for those above that threshold. A BT spokesperson stated that the total remuneration for the first time includes the estimated value of long-term share awards, which will release over three years and have benefited from the share price increase.
