Andrew Yang discusses startup Noble Mobile on TechCrunch podcast
Andrew Yang, whose 2020 presidential campaign warned about automation and AI hollowing out the labor market, has launched a startup called Noble Mobile that pays users to use their phones less. Yang discussed the company on TechCrunch’s Equity podcast with host Rebecca Bellan. He described Noble Mobile as a way to combat the “attention economy” and put money back into people’s hands. Yang noted that ideas like Universal Basic Income, once considered fringe, are now echoed by figures including Dario Amodei, Sam Altman, and Bernie Sanders. The podcast episode also covered what startups can do when the government does not act.
