The Men’s College World Series opened Friday in Omaha with a completely new set of eight teams from last year’s edition. The field includes five SEC teams — Georgia, Ole Miss, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas — along with ACC member North Carolina, West Virginia, and Troy. Through Saturday, four games have been played, with West Virginia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Georgia winning their opening matchups. The double-elimination tournament continues Sunday with elimination games and bracket play scheduled through June 18. All games are broadcast on ESPN.
