Journalist Michael Edison Hayden spent years tracking extremism in America and wrote a book titled “Strange People on the Hill” about what happened when a far-right group moved its headquarters to a small town in rural West Virginia. In a conversation with PBS NewsHour’s Amna Nawaz, Hayden discussed the story and what it can teach about U.S. politics today.
