According to a single-source report from Variety, U.K. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy will remain in her post following a cabinet reshuffle by new Prime Minister Andy Burnham. Nandy, who has been a member of Parliament since 2010 for Wigan, was appointed to the role in July 2024 by former Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The report notes her two-year tenure makes her one of the longest-serving culture ministers in recent years. Separately, Burnham has appointed Kanishka Narayan as the first minister for AI, a joint role in the Cabinet Office and the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade. Narayan previously served as parliamentary under-secretary of state in the science, innovation and technology department and was elected as MP for Vale of Glamorgan in July 2024.
