Persimmon Acquires U.S. and International Rights to ‘Death on the Brandywine’
Independent distribution company Persimmon has acquired distribution rights for the U.S. and several international territories to the mystery film “Death on the Brandywine,” according to a single-source report from Variety. The film stars Kate Burton, Rena Sofer, Tuc Watkins, Jay Huguley, Walt Willey, Shanley Caswell and Guy Nardulli, with Satomi Hofmann playing amateur investigator Professor Millie Park. Written and directed by Nick Wilkinson and produced by Lisa G. Black and Nick Wilkinson, the story follows a beloved senator found dead at his son’s high‑profile campaign fundraiser, with his daughter determined to prove it was not a suicide. The deal covers the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India. The film will debut June 24 in New York with a limited theatrical release, followed by digital release on Apple, Amazon and Fandango. Elisabeth Costa de Beauregard Segel of Storyboard Media negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers, with Mackenzie Maguire representing Persimmon.
