Cartoon Network and Adult Swim have announced a five-part documentary series for Cartoon Network’s 35th anniversary, set for release in 2027. The series will explore the network’s history and artists across multiple eras, blending archival footage with new interviews. Additionally, a Cartoon Network special from the stop-motion comedy series “Robot Chicken” is in production, featuring characters like Courage the Cowardly Dog and Johnny Bravo, also planned for 2027. A second “Robot Chicken” special, titled “Robot Chicken Adult Swim Special,” will celebrate Adult Swim’s 25th anniversary, premiering Sunday, Aug. 30 on Adult Swim and streaming Aug. 31 on HBO Max.
