England captain Harry Kane and teammates Dan Burn and Jason Steele attended a concert by US country music star Ella Langley in Independence, Missouri, during a day off granted by manager Thomas Tuchel. The players had to leave before the final three songs to comply with their team curfew. Burn, a Newcastle United defender, described Kane as a big country music fan and noted that the captain often selects country music on the hotel record player. Kane scored twice in England’s 4-2 win over Croatia in their opening World Cup match. The trio had previously been unable to see Langley perform in West Palm Beach due to curfew restrictions. Kane later posted pictures from the concert on Instagram, thanking Langley for hosting them.
